STUCK IN BANGKOK presents a collection of more than 300 stickers gathered in Thailand by Daniel Shepard during his time in Bangkok. Beyond functioning as a reference, the stickers assembled here can be understood as a visual medium situated at the intersection of graphic design, street art, and both personal and collective expression. They carry political messages, slogans, religious symbols, and markers of subcultural identity.
The sticker archive in this book does not seek to offer a comprehensive representation of Thailand's visual culture. Instead, it records small fragments of visual expressions as they circulate in everyday urban space.
The act of archiving these stickers is not intended to standardize meaning through a complete or definitive catalog. Rather, the stickers are allowed to speak in their own visual languages, becoming part of a broader narrative without imposing a single, authoritative reading of their place of origin.
